Aspen were happy to assist with the refit of DangerPoint’s mock-up Co-op shop, supplying a till counter and cigarette backline cabinet for the store.
DangerPoint is a charity based in North Wales providing a safety centre for local kids. Visitors explore a mock-up of a town – along the lines of a film set – filled with interactive activities designed to help children spot dangers in their homes and communities, whilst they learn essential life skills too.
This is shop, with a difference, inside DangerPoint’s Co-op, young people learn about the consequences of:
- peer-pressure
- bullying
- shoplifting
Along with the benefits of budgeting and making healthy eating choices.
The store makeover cost close to a £30,000, but was made possible by Co-op’s suppliers and contractors plus around 150 volunteering hours.
Co-op said they were delighted they had been able to support DangerPoint, investing in communities and making a difference to local life is at the heart of what the Co-op do. DangerPoint is just one of 3,999 local causes across the country, that has been in receipt of funding from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
